Disliked: I have travelled domestically and internationally across the world for more than 15 years. I have never met staff who were so poorly train and were so rude.

Stunning Views, Budget-Level service

Liked: The view of Sydney Harbour from this hotel is absolutely spectacular. The cleaning staff is very nice.
Disliked: The beds are just average, the senior staff surprisingly rude, and the breakfast… well, let’s just say it wouldn’t be out of place in a low 3-star IBIS. Bland, limited, disgusting coffee, utterly forgettable. On the third morning, all five of us chose to skip it entirely — despite having already paid — because the quality was so poor.Room service stops at 9 pm, which is hardly acceptable for a hotel in this price bracket. And the room we stayed in (1106) was so poorly soundproofed that it felt like we were sleeping inside our neighbour’s bathroom.A deeply disappointing experience. If you’re after a great photo of the harbour, book here. If you want a great hotel experience, book elsewhere.

Liked: The location and view from our room was excellent with a lovely view of the harbour bridge. Breakfast was also lovely and just what I needed before a big run.
Disliked: The price of the room for a night and the price of car parking are over the top

The views were absolutely breathtaking, perfect for capturing beautiful photos of such an important moment.The complimentary champagne was a wonderful touch, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and equipped with fantastic amenities. I also want to give a special mention to the excellent staff at the Quartier, whose service truly stood out and added to the experience.It was an absolute pleasure to have done my proposal at The Sebel. I’m truly grateful for the effort, attention to detail, and genuine care shown by your entire team. I’ll always remember this occasion fondly and highly recommend The Sebel to anyone looking for a truly exceptional stay.
