Nice hotel for dogs and...

Disliked: This is probably most relevant for people staying here without a dog. We booked here not realising it was a dog friendly hotel, but we didn’t mind as we have dogs at home, love dogs and loved seeing them around the hotel. We didn’t like seeing the dog hair on rug from previous guests and hearing a dog next door bark and howl constantly for a few hours while owners went out. Also oddly my allergies were triggered (I get from certain small breeds of dogs) in the bed I slept in which suggests that people sleep with their dogs on the bed. Maybe just offer separate floors for people who are staying with/without dogs. Like smoking/non-smoking rooms were offered back in the day or make it very clear when booking that you are booking a room that has dogs stay in it previously and that there may be signs of this in the room.

Disliked: Kitchen needed more plates, glassware smaller knives for food preparation. More detergent, tea towels for washing up as there was no dish washer, as well as garbage bags.

Disliked: West facing room was extremely hot on our arrival. There was a small raise between the bathroom and hall floor, we both injured our toes plus I fell onto the hand basin after tripping on it. The room was very badly stocked, had to seek out crockery and coffee from staff. Nowhere to store suitcase except on kitchen shelf.
