Good hotel option in the...
Liked: Great location in Viaduct Harbour close to a lot of restaurants and bars accessible by foot. Sushi Train was right next to the entrance that was great option for a quick/late meal as we arrived at 9pm.
Disliked: Parking was a bit iffy - public parking complex just a block away but was hard to stop in front of the hotel to drop off/pick up as there is a cab rank. There were stairs as well to deal with leading into the lobby. There is a ramp on the side but not the most convenient if you have lots of luggage.

Great stay on the viaduct...
Liked: Very centrally located on the viaduct harbour. Walk down directly to fabulous restaurants and all Auckland has to offer. Beautiful view, great apartment, spacious, full amenities.
Disliked: We had balcony rooms which was great, but they did warn us (on checking in only) that it may be noisy on the weekend. There are nightclubs around, so the music noise was constant until early morning, even with our doors and windows closed. The apartments could do with a redo, carpet stained etc. but still serviceable.

Auckland and Bay of Islands...
Liked: The view over Aqueduct Harbour great.BUT the LOUD music from one of the restaurants in the Marina complex was not good for people not involved with their party, two nights from the three we stayed. The rooms were spacious but in serious need of a makeover. Loved sitting on the balcony enjoying a drink surveying and looking at life around us. Glad we had a harbourview room.
Disliked: The pillows and the bed. Pillows need to be less high profile for me. I threw mine away and placed a scatter cushion under my head as I could not stand the loft of the bed pillows. For the price I would have expected to have a better quality of kitchen utensil equipment. But overall we enjoyed our stay in Auckland and the vibe this huge spread out city has to offer.
