Liked: Staff quite efficient and responsive. Bicycles and beach stuff a plus.
Disliked: They describe unit as “Luxury Suite.” Not! Slightly stained carpets, aging bedspread, tiny dated coffee maker, standard sheets, and sagging mattress - absolutely nothing in it about this unit that could be characterized as “luxury.” This family style motel is in a sleepy small commercial district over a mile walk from downtown Manhattan Beach.

Close to the beach with...
Liked: Close to the beach. Good amenities like free beach chairs and bike rentals. Easy walk to multiple good restaurants. Most of the staff were helpful and friendly. Some of them offered us water bottles every day, but then one of us told us the water was for staff only and wouldn’t give it to us (the tap water tasted nasty).
Disliked: The room was tiny and very worn down. The floor was warped, paint was peeling, mold growing along the baseboards. It was probably the smallest hotel bathroom I have ever seen, and we have traveled a lot. There was no counter space or storage in the bathroom at all. We paid extra for an ocean view but had the room right above the office which was on the street, so really only had a partial view of the ocean in the distance which was disappointing. It was so noisy from the road we had to sleep with ear plugs. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable with thin, cheap bedding. The pool was supposedly heated but too cold to use. The $25 per night parking charge seems steep for the area as well.

Liked: I loved the location. The bike rentals and beach toys were great. They had plenty of bikes. I loved the chill vibe of this place. I want to go back already

Very decent, great location .
Liked: I loved the location , the beach my decor, the bed was very comfy, nice shower, friendly staff.
Disliked: Old, creeky, you can hear all the people on top floor, the cleaning staff were so loud in the morning and you can hear everything so I’m guessing very thin doors. Building is in need of a slight remodel it was on the older side when you look at the details but overall a decent place right by the beach.
