Comfortable
Liked: Breakfast was excellent. The hotel architecture was lovely a very grand building.There were always staff on hand and we got a very warm welcome every time we passed reception.
Disliked: The carpets and flooring were very grubby as was the paintwork and doors. The windows were extremely dirty.The lift was very small.

An unforgettable experience
Liked: We were delighted to receive a room upgrade and the rooms were absolutely stunning, they had everything you could possibly need and more. The level of comfort and the extras provided were outstanding. We had requested a little something to help celebrate our daughters 30th birthday and the hotel and staff had gone out of their way to provide that. Not only a bottle of sparkly and some chocolates but they had gone to the trouble of decorating the room, outstanding service.

Disliked: There are many levels to this hotel and you find yourself having to go to so many different levels for dining reception, et cetera

Generally a good experience, expensive...
Liked: Asked for a quiet room and this was well accommodated. Put our bags in the room because we arrived early and before check-in time.
Disliked: Because we booked through booking.com and not direct with the hotel we didn't get some of the nice perks the hotel offer for direct bookings e.g. prosecco in the room, a welcome drink in the bar and 'other unexpected surprizes'. This made us feel like our booking was less valuable than others.
