Liked: Comfortable room and beds. Bath was nice as we were travelling with a child. Really good breakfast, lots of options.
Disliked: It’s about a 15-20 min walk along the river to the city Center. It was fine for us as we enjoy walking. But you may have to consider a taxi.

Disliked: I paid €329 for a one-night stay at this hotel — not including breakfast or any extras. We travelled from Limerick, and I requested an early check-in. They wanted an additional €50 for that, which I found extremely excessive. Since our room wasn’t ready, we left our bags at reception and went out.After hours of travelling and walking around the city, we were exhausted. When we finally got to our room, we realised we’d forgotten to get a glass and some ice from the bar. Considering the high price we paid for the room, we thought it would be reasonable to ask reception to send some up. To our surprise, they said it would cost €6 just to have a glass of ice delivered to the room — which felt incredibly petty.The next day, on the way home, I realised I had left my headphones on the bed. I emailed the hotel but received no response after 48 hours, so I called reception. The woman I spoke to was quite rude and said the cleaners were very busy, so I would have to email and wait. I explained that I had already emailed, and she just told me to wait for them to contact me. I thanked her and hung up. Eventually, I did get an email saying they had found my headphones and asked how I wanted to proceed. I requested they be posted to me, and they said they could do that — but it would cost €35 plus VAT, which is nearly half the value of the headphones!For comparison, my friend recently left something behind in a hotel much farther away and was charged just €5 for postage.In summary: while the hotel and rooms themselves were nice, the overall experience was soured by the staff’s attitude and the hotel’s relentless focus on squeezing money out of guests. I wouldn’t stay here again.
