Liked: The restaurant has recently been awarded a much deserved Michelin Star and I have to say the breakfast was the best we've ever eaten. From its huge panoramic windows offering 270 degree views of lake Windermere the restaurant area has truly one of the most spectacular views on the planet. The hotels 'high up' location with its fabulous and extensive grounds, the interior design, the amazing food and the warm and welcoming staff.. a lakes stay just doesn't get any better! ..

Liked: On the whole, I'm hard pushed to find any fault with the hotel or service provided.
Disliked: We had a suite, which was adjacent to another small suite. There was an adjoining door from the lounge of our room, through which you could hear the guests in the next room....passing by/talking.This might not be a problem for most, but we'd have preferred a different setup.
