Pleasant

Liked: Location is useful, as it's near family. But it's on a main road (junction) so not especially pretty.
Disliked: The rooms are getting tatty, and they are small and awkward. Linen is low quality. Wardrobe is a rail in an alcove. Steps down into room which is not great for accessibility.Spent ages trying to get in at the end of the evening. I'd asked in advance, and they said they would be open. Front door was locked, despite there being staff still inside. Tried calling the mobile number printed on the door but no answer. Ended up having to go window to window to find staff and get their attention. Was made to feel an inconvenience.

A comfortable wayside stay

Liked: The property is conveniently situated with easy parking. Rooms appeared newly decorated and tastefully furnished. We chose one of the smaller rooms, and in retrospect would have preferred a king-size bed instead of the standard double provided. The staff were attentive and helpful and our breakfast and evening meals were delicious. It would be nice if, in addition to the courtesy tea and coffee tray in the rooms, a bottle of still water could also be provided. Bathroom facilities were very good.

Great stay, lovely staff, fantastic...

Liked: The location is on a junction and therefore it was not possible for the hotel to give us a quiet room however some double glazing may assist - however this is not spoil our visit - the road was relatively quiet this day.
