Disliked: The room had a very bad musty smell my wife wasn't able to stay in the room we had to leave at 4am she a rash her eyes didn't stop watering and she had bad asthma.

Liked: The unit was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and it was much quieter than expected as it has an adjoining hotel which was busy and loud

Liked: We have been going to the Salty Dog for 6 years and we have loved the ambience in the bar and the food. Yees and staying with them maybe 7 times x
Disliked: This property has gone so backwards. The double room , number 6 , had obviously a leaking problem from the cracked bathroom tiles and had leaked into the bedroom and they had a fan heater to try and dry it our, that was a joke!We arrived there and the first night we accepted that but the second night Easter Sunday, no food, no comforts, no looking after our room, because they said that there were not enough people staying to warrant their opening, BUT, they said on their website they were open!So very disappointed with you Salty Dog, have stayed with you on and off for you for 6 years now and from our dear place, it is run down and unacceptable, please change back to what you were.Jude Young

Perfectly fine for one night....

Liked: There's shops and restaurants within walking distance. Rooms were clean.
Disliked: The rooms were very damp and stuffy with no ventilation and the rooms upstairs you can hear people moving around plus dogs can stay up there. The carpets need replacing. Just needs a bit of a refurbish.
