I would highly recommend this hotel and would go back for sure. Great location within walking distance of many good restaurants and attractions. Offers onsite parking for no cost.

Liked: Friendly, attentive service; comfy pillow top beds with good pillows; great shower with good water pressure and large shower head. Restaurant staff was great very helpful and attentive.
Disliked: Room A/C didn't seem to cool as good as the hall units but still comfortable temperatures.

Disappointing

Liked: The location was close to the law firm I was working with in Charleston.
Disliked: For the most part, you're forced to valet you vehicle at $50 a day. I was staying on the 4th floor and I had to take two separate elevators to reach my room. Very limited warm water in the shower.

Liked: The location and room were great. We walked all the main attractions and the staff were very helpful with ideas for restaurants and cocktails. The pool bar was our favorite nightcap place.

Liked: the valet and front desk person were very welcoming. the hotel is a manageable size. they have coffee available in the morning and if you want something fancier they have an in-hotel coffee bar. They are close to a lot of the hot spots. very easy to walk everywhere (which is why we chose them). it was very quiet except the dumpster on Saturday a.m. (our room overlooked it) but VERY clean. and the room service was a pleasant surprise.
Disliked: VERY expensive. We were there for a conference (SEWE) and expected to pay but got nothing really worth the extras. and our room looked over the back alley garage. beware the taxes in Charleston are very extensive (already knew this) but on top of that and the $50/day parking fee was the $29/day fee to use their bikes/skateboards/towels etc. NOT applicable for us and not really appreciated. the restaurant was ok. too cold for the little pool. So it met our needs but in no way exceeded. Oh, and if you want a mini-fridge they don't keep them in the room. you have to ask.
