The Rutland Hotel

Liked: Staff very friendly.
Disliked: Room was dated; very hot and air conditioning did not work.

Parking signage going down Glossop Road after passing the hotel could be improved. Driving up the road was better as the car park could be seen.

Liked: Reception first class, breakfast excellent. Appropriate bedding without a large heavy duvet.
Disliked: Decor generally shabby and old fashioned.

Huge family room, brilliant breakfast

Liked: Really friendly staff, our family suite was absolutely enormous with separate rooms and three bath/shower rooms! Really comfortable and great value for money.Breakfast was brilliant too.
Disliked: For an independent hotel, it felt a quite corporate, lacking 'Sheffield' and personal touches. Automated emails meant we were being about our views on checkout before we had arrived and there were add on charges for every little extra. For an independent, that seems a shame.

Liked: Room and lady on desk was very helpful my only issue was the stairs to the first room but the second room was ok

Liked: Central, convenient
Disliked: Very little routine maintenance being carried out in rooms. Seem to be dependent on client reports which is not satisfactory, Shower very poor. Shower head needs dismantling , cleaning and checking for water flow. Colour problem on TV. Interior , apart from lobby needs complete refurbishment. Most irritating that carpeting not included in overall price.

Disliked: The absence of aircon on a baking hot stay made sleeping very challenging.
