Disliked: Room was dated; very hot and air conditioning did not work.

David & Ailsa, Chester, visiting Octagon Centre Sheffield Mon, 13 April 2015

Parking signage going down Glossop Road after passing the hotel could be improved. Driving up the road was better as the car park could be seen.

Liked: Reception first class, breakfast excellent. Appropriate bedding without a large heavy duvet.
Disliked: Decor generally shabby and old fashioned.

Convenient location for the hospital

Liked: 2 minutes from the hospital Comfy beds Parking (although £7 is steep)Warm roomClean towels fluffy Would use it again (only if going to the hospital again)On a main bus route Wetherspoons few minutes away for food
Disliked: Corridors look tatty and dishevelled. The last night was very noisy (drunk guests).Staff hardly talk to you...even on check out they couldn't even say thank you or safe travels or ask whether we enjoyed the stay. Lack of bar and restaurant. Paying £28 parking.

We were making a hospital...

Liked: Very good bathroom, particularly the shower, which was excellent.
Disliked: A basically good breakfast was let down by very poor coffee. This could be improved considerably. Also, the kitchen did not know that we were booked in for breakfast on Monday morning; better communication was needed here.

Great value for money, comfortable...

Liked: Megan on the front desk was really great. Lots of information, very accommodating, extremely personable and is a credit to the hotel. The value for money is really good. Yes, some of the rooms need updating and there are lots of stairs for some guests but hey, I got a great night's sleep in a comfy bed...what's the problem. None! Thanks
Disliked: An extra blanket to snuggle under would have been nice but it wasn't cold in the room, the heating was adjustable in the room - it's not a complaint whatsoever.
