Fab experience ruined by my...

Liked: The room was gorgeous with great views and the facilities provided were fantastic, like the GHD hairdryer and straighteners, sewing kit, toiletries provided etc. Reception staff were so lovely and welcoming and accomodating, thank you.
Disliked: When we checked out I realised id left my bright orange jacket hung up in the wardrobe, I'd only bought it earlier that day and it wasn't exactly cheap so was a bit of a rare treat for myself, when I rang to organise having this returned to me the morning after we checked out I was informed this wasn't found by housekeeping, which tells me the housekeeping staff havent entirely been honest, I was told by reception that it could have been taken by the family who stayed in after us - but surely this would have been found by housekeeping first when cleaning? It's somewhat my fault for not double checking we'd packed everything but these things happen... then again I didn't really think anything would "go missing" if left behind, really gutted and upset. Unfortunately this really put a dampener on my stay and now we wont ever be returning, shame as we rated our stay so highly and vowed to return every time we visited Edinburgh and promised a 10/10 review, we even voiced this to the reception staff, but unfortunately this revelation means they have lost us as customers. Also, the red wine they provided wasnt on the price list for the mini bar so we assumed this was complimentary but we were charged for this when we left, not a huge issue but would recommend putting the red wine onto the price list to avoid confusion in future.

weekend break

Liked: Traditional building, modern stylish interiors.
Disliked: Top floor location. Too many stairs. Only 1 toilet/bathroom for 4 of us. Very noisy location - bedrooms located at street side of building - did not get much sleep. Do not want to stay in this apartment again.
