Hotel Description
This 19th-century coaching inn is located between Matlock and Buxton in the heart of the Peak District. Located in the center of Bakewell's historic market town the property is easily accessible for visiting Haddon Hall a 5-minute drive away. Located on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate Chatsworth House can be reached by a short 10-minute drive. Rooms are located either in the beautiful main building or the courtyard. Each room is decorated to a high standard and refurbished in 2020. Our Eatery Restaurant offers exciting menus and serves breakfast lunch and dinner. The hotel has its own Coffee House serving a variety of coffees and specialist teas for all tastes. If you would prefer something different then the hotels bar offers a selection of gins whiskeys ales and so much more. Depending on the weather there is a small outside terraced area for guests to enjoy the local atmosphere.

A very enjoyable stay in...

Liked: Breakfast - great choice of food in a stunning and beautiful dining room. The staff were very efficient, helpful and pleasant.
Disliked: We had to cross a very busy roundabout to access the hotel from our ground level bedroom

Liked: Great food, dog friendly
Disliked: Too few staff, leading to long delays for food. The staff that were there were excellent

Comfortable, but pricey

Liked: Room was very comfortable and spacious. Superb location right in the heart of Bakewell - ideal for walking, or sight-seeing.
Disliked: The price was expensive for what it was, especially compared to other hotels in the Coaching Inn group
