Liked: The owner has obviously made a lot of effort to spec the place up well. Location is beautiful.
Disliked: Noisy deluxe room with very little light from the window. The air conditioning was very slow to get going and very noisy. Had to turn it off, when I needed it. A lot of noise throughout the night was coming through from the cleaning staff room next door, grinding, knocking and loud chatting in the morning. Most of the staff were great, but some front desk/concierge staff clearly lacked training about things as basic as the existence of a cheap overnight parking rate 3 min down the road. Valet parking of $70 per day is exorbitant for this peripheral location. Lots of fancy room features (even a Dyson hair dryer), but not always very functional. Like the fancy shower tap that you have to call the front desk to figure out how it works, hot water that takes ages to arrive, slippers that you have to ask for, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles that you have to have glasses to read what they are (meaning exiting the shower to get your glasses), lighting and window shade switches that have no backlighting and that you have to randomly guess through when dark …. Gym is tiny and very thinly equipped. The food should be better at these prices. Niggles that must be ironed out for a boutique hotel at this price.
