The Royal Windsor Hotel

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable
Disliked: Linen not changed. Beds not made bins not emptied. Tea making facilities not replenished. Entertainment was karaoke every night. Hotel was raining in the lounge and bar. Owner decided to close the hotel after our 2nd night and asked us to transfer to his other hotel. No room service there either. I was told they had no sugar or milk to replenish rooms. No entertainment at all.

Liked: The location was very good and the room was adequate but there were buckets in the lounge because it was raining in and the bar area rained in too. The entertainment is a mediocre karaoke every night.
Disliked: No tea or coffee replenishment without having to ask. No waste bin emptied or toilet rolls replenished. We spent the first two nights at the hotel then on Saturday we were asked to either leave or allow them to transfer us to another hotel as the owner had decided to close the Royal Windsor hotel and only open at weekends. We were offered no compensation for the inconvenience of having to repack and move. The owner's hotel, The Palm Beach hotel, that we were moved to was situated further away from central. It was also adequate but not only did we have to ask for top up refreshments, we were told they had none so we had to buy some ourselves. Bins were also not emptied. Rooms were never cleaned nor beds made the whole of our week's stay.

Will not be booking here...

Disliked: The shower was freezing cold no matter which way you turned the dial. The wardrobe doors were hanging off. The bedding was stained and had cig burns in them and the pillows and mattress was also stained. The door handle to the room was hanging off so the lock didn’t work properly
