Disliked: Didn’t like the fact that we did not get the room that was allocated to it, it was given to someone who checked in a head of us.

Comfortable, good value stay

Liked: Location was perfect. Good old fashioned British hotel which has been brought up to date without losing it's charm. Water, biscuits and coffee bags which could be replenished. We had dinner there and it was delicious
Disliked: It would have been good if the lift had gone all the way to the top! Room service would have been nice as well.

Great stay, would return again

Liked: Plenty of space in the room, large comfy bed and the shower was amazing! Our room was dual aspect so there was loads of natural light. Extra supplies of essentials like towels, toilet paper, tea/coffee were available in the corridor, which was a nice touch. Great location too, just next to the railway station. We were lucky to get free on-steeet parking in Preston St instead of paying £4 per date (£8 total) for our quick overnight stay.
Disliked: The room was extremely warm so we had to leave a window open, which helped with the heat but meant we were woken with traffic from the railway and busy road outside. There was a fan provided but the fresh air helped more. The floor was quite creaky, which didn't bother us at all but I did worry it might annoy guests staying on the floor below.
