Liked: The hotel itself was physically nice.
Disliked: Our arrival and first day was absolutely awful. When we arrived, we went to our room to find out no hot water! When we inquired at the desk, we were told someone would be up to check it out. We told them we had run the water for 30 minutes and still cold. We had to wait for the workman to see if it could be fixed. No success. Moved us to another room. Again, no hot water! We were moved to a third room. It is now 2 hours since we arrived!! We had been told the entire building had no hot water by maintenance and told only a few rooms by staff at the front desk and later by Simon, the manager. The conflicting stories and lack of real knowledge was maddening and inexcusable. Nobody seemed to know what was happening. We had plans that needed cancelling because of the delay in our room and no shower, and I was very upset having just come off a long ride to get there. Very little apology and the manager, Simon, was nowhere to be found!! Finally, he appeared and again, very little in apology - no offer of a drink or something to compensate us for all the lost time and aggravation. The third room wasn't as nice as the one we had booked. The aggravation and lack of any real caring for the inconvenience tarnished our trip, our plans and our stay in DC. We will NEVER visit this hotel again, and most of all, the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional, showed no caring, and inexcusable.

Save some money, but expect...

Liked: I liked how close this location was to DuPont Circle while still remaining affordable.
Disliked: We REALLY did not enjoy that the jets in the tub would go odd LOUDLY and randomly at 10:30/11 at night. It was also disappointing that a service person couldn’t be reached to resolve the issue.

A great choice for the...

Liked: The hotel has a super location, near to the Metro and many shops/amenities. The room was huge, quite modern and clean. I found the bed very comfortable. The gym was pretty good with 2 Peleton machines, which I enjoyed using.
Disliked: Because the room was at the back of the hotel the light wasn't that good. In hindsight, I wouldn't have upgraded and just stuck with a standard room at the front. There were some water maintenance issues while I was there which the management informed us about - but my last shower upon leaving was cold!

Great location and luxury comfort...

Liked: The room was spacious, clean and in a fantastic area. Very close to local public transport and with plenty of great restaurants and things to do nearby. The staff were also lovely and offered to help us with our bags when arriving and leaving and checked in just to see if we needed anything with a message during our stay. it was wonderful!
Disliked: not a thing, everything was so great!

Disliked: Room located by gym so it was noisy.
