Great hotel in every respect

Liked: Clean and modern, friendly staff, nice breakfast
Disliked: Rooms facing atrium are a bit dark / gloomy

Liked: Hotel itself is great, room was comfy and everything was clean and modern.Location is great, walking distance to capitol hill.
Disliked: Check in staff was extremely unhelpful, did not explain many things even though asked multiple times. He had no expression on his face the whole time and seemed to hate his job. When we checked in their keycard machines were not working so we had to be escorted up the elevator and to our rooms, and every time we had to re-enter we would need the help of a staff member. Breakfast was at the restaurant (separate from hotel), and it was tasty, but we were given misinformation by multiple staff members of the hotel with regards to how "breakfast included" worked. During checkout, we were charged multiple times for breakfast that should have been included. We were also charged for a random dinner bill and we never dined there during our stay. Checkout took 20 minutes trying to figure out the bill, and after what we thought had been resolved, we receive an email with an updated bill with MORE breakfast charges added on. We called the hotel and the manager informed us that breakfast is limited to $30 per person and that is why the charges are there. I explained we never ordered more than $30 per person so it still does not add up. She said she would need to look into it and give us a call back. I never heard back from her. We will need to dispute the charges with our credit card company. Overall, although the hotel itself is nice, all of this hassle and miscommunication led to the stay being frustrating and upsetting. Would not recommend.

Liked: Great location, just 15 -20 minutes away by walk from main attractions. Very clean and large rooms. Nice restaurant with good breakfast a la carte.
