Liked: The facilities outside of our room were great. There were a couple of things about our room that were unsatisfactory, but the bed specifically was very comfortable. Though the duvet cover was a bit ghetto - just a loose flat sheet over the duvet.
Disliked: The climate control in the room was a joke. It let you change the temperature but the air coming out of the vent and the temperature of the room never changed regardless of what temperature we set the system to. Why even have the illusion of control for the guest? I would rather not have the option if it doesnt actually work. It was freezing in the room which we like when we're sleeping but during the day it was uncomfortable. Also, we had a negative experience at the desk at checkout. We were given a coupon to spend $10 each day in the cafe, which was nice of them! We bought pistachios each day as to intentionally stay under the $10 mark so we wouldn't incur extra charges. Then upon checking out it showed we were charged the amount for the pistachios on the 2nd day ($8.66). When I inquired and explained that that charge shouldn't be there, they argued, claiming that I was wrong and that it charged me because I must have spent more than the allotted amount on the coupon. But I was sure I hadn't because I only bought one small item to ensure that wasn't the case. The customer service at the checkout was very low quality in my opinion because of this experience. I don't usually stay in hotels, I prefer Air bnbs, but I had a conference at this hotel so it made sense to stay here. Maybe my standards for hotels are just too high these days? The fascilities outside of our room were great though. The room had damaged carpet, the sheets had a stain on them, the trim in the bathroom was cracked, and the ceilings we're a little too low in my opinion in the bathroom and hallways.
