Good

Liked: Clean room. Restaurant food was exceptional for breakfast.
Disliked: A/C didnt work well. No sauna. Parking was expensive considering a tiny room cost us almost $400.

Disappointing

Royal So esta is perfect...

Liked: View, and location are at the top of the list. The lobby bloats welcoming elegance. Front desk representatives are calm and helpful. our room was decently lit by pulling back the curtains. Royal Sonesta makes it easy to travel with pets.The attached Parking Garage is quaint and fairly up-kept. The hotel is a small 23 minute walk to TD Gardens. perfect for overnight stays after an event.
Disliked: No complimentary breakfast :(

Liked: The riverview was beautiful.
Disliked: Upon arriving there was apparently a prom going on here. It took us 45 minutes to get checked in and charged for parking then outside the parking attendant told us the garage was full but we can park in the garage down the street for free. We went and parked down the road then asked the front desk for a refund as we were told the parking was free. They argued with us then gave us a refund for the parking. Our room was small and very outdated. The carpet in the closet was drenched with I don't know what (gross). The bathroom was small. The mirror on the wall was covered in dust and fingerprints. One out of our two complimentary water bottles was sitting there empty when we arrived (gross). There was trash between the TV stand and the desk when we arrived (gross). Housekeeping clearly doesn't take their job seriously here. I do not recommend this place for the price. Four hundred and fifty dollars before tax for a double bed room that was outdated and filthy. No complimentary breakfast. Guest staff act bothered when you check in or ask questions. I have stayed at many places in Boston and this hotel just wasn't it. Many better options with pricing, cleanliness, friendliness, and you at least can get a decent breakfast complimentary. Save your money on this one.

Liked: Property is very good. However, receiving an invoice with 9 (Nine) items as follow is ridiculous, there is no way in earth that I have to pay Convention Ctr Tax to be charged if I'm not using it. -Room Occupancy Tax 5.7% 18.19-Room City Tax 6% 19.15-Convention Ctr Tax 2.75% 8.78-Tourism Assessment 1.5% 4.79-Destination Fee 19.00-Destination Room Occupancy Tax 1.08-Destination Room City Tax 1.14-Destination Convention Ctr Tax 0.52-Destination Tourism Assessment 0.29I will not suggest any of my friends to stay there and be surprised with that amount of nonsense charges. I will be surprise if those charges are even legal.
Disliked: Receptionist was really impatient and not friendly, when I simply asked him if there were any celebration he replied me as grumpy as he could be and answer there was a prom but using a tone clearly discriminatory and uncomfortable.
