The Royal Hotel

Great hotel!

Liked: Our stay at this property was one night and it was very clean, friendly and the rooms we were allocated were great for what we needed. Breakfast was lovely and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The bar on the night time was a very welcoming area to relax after travelling all day, there were also board games available which helped keep my son entertained. The outside area with tables was lovely for my son to let off some pent off energy too. Overall a fabulous little stay and would book again. Thankyou!

Exceptional

This was not a holiday...

Liked: Traditional English breakfast. Enough choice.
Disliked: Decor of room could have been cleaner. Lamp between beds unsafe and dirty.

Over priced

Liked: Was a short distance to the promenade and the attractions. The bed was comfortable and there was a fan provided in the room as it was a hot day. The car park was a good size
Disliked: The shower temperature adjuster didn’t work, there were holes in the ceiling just covered with what looked like cardboard, and it was just generally a run down hotel, and not worth the price we paid

Liked: Free car park very good breakfast and location room came with a very large balcony but the rooms either side can see on to it
Disliked: The shower and toilet were in a small cupboard and the sink is in the room

Disliked: The management accept the place is a little tired but plans are in place to rectify this.
