Liked: The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and there was a smart TV. Location in Portree was right in the middle of everything and overlooking the water, so perfect for a short stay on the Isle of Skye. We arrived very late after driving all day from Edinburgh, and found out that most restaurants in town close by 9, so the hotel kept their kitchen open for us even though they had begun cleaning up.The chef even checked in with us about how our meal was.
Disliked: The accommodations were clean, but basic and a bit outdated, so a bit overpriced. But we recognize that we Booked during the high tourist season.

A central reasonably priced hotel.

Liked: We had a large comfortable room. A good size bathroom with a good shower, plenty of hot water when needed. Good location in the centre of Portree. Plenty of choice for breakfast, either a full Scottish breakfast or help yourself continentalbreakfast.
Disliked: If you required a cooked breakfast it could be quite a time in coming especially at 8.00 am, which seemed to be a very popular time.

Had a great time, didn’t...

Liked: Location. The room had an amazing view. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Rooms need an update but apparently that is coming very soon anyway.

Disappointing

Liked: The breakfast was only just satisfactory… the room had a great view but was hot and stuffy … the heating was off but it was still hot!
Disliked: Stuffy hot room, expensive price not worth the money

The hotel didn’t add to...

Liked: The location, the bathtub, and the breakfast was good.
Disliked: This is a difficult review because we had booked a sea room all the way back in early April and when we arrived on July 20, we were placed in an interior room with a view of the side of a building. The purpose of the sea room for us was for the air flow and the views. Unfortunately, that did not happen. The host at the front desk was very sweet and apologetic, but there was nothing that she could do because all the rooms were occupied for the two days we were there.
