Overall good hotel
Liked: Nice hotel in excellent location. Easy to find. The staff were courteous and helpful.Exceptional breakfast, largest choice ever.Comfortable bar and verandah.Superbly comfortable mattress with lots of room.The shower was lovely, easy to use and adjust.
Disliked: There was a distinct dank, damp smell in the bedroom and bathroom. Window did'nt open in bathroom and no extractor fan either.Due to sandflies could'nt get any air through window in bedroom.Pillows uncomfortable but thst is personal choice.

Great value for money
Liked: Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. Large comfy bed and no road noise even sleeping with the window open; we both had a great nights sleep. Lots of parking, both on site and on road.
Disliked: The decor is a bit dated in style and leans towards an older clientele. That being said, the hotel is immaculately clean and well cared for; they make the most of what they have.

Weirdly charming hotel with good...
Liked: Interesting walks along the waters edge. Breakfasts were fantastic. Staff were very accommodated and friendly.
Disliked: Toilet too close to the basin. No aircon only a fan.

Exceptional
Liked: From the moment we walked in we felt like nothing more could be done to help us enjoy our stay. The person on reception when we booked in was fantastic, told us all the information that we needed and more. The night person working the bar was also fantastic, offering us an iced jug of water to take up to the room as it was extremely hot.The lady for breakfast welcomed us in and organised a big table for our group of 4 rooms to sit together and reserved it for us for the following day too.Room was lovely, clean and tidy.Food was fantastic and fresh, no issues adapting for food in tolerances.Loved our stay and although we went to attend a wedding, we will be coming back!

Wow, what a find
Liked: Wow, what a find. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by the most friendly team where attention to detail and exceptional customer service were priority. Our room was spotless, comfortable and all the little details had been thought of. Lights and switches in the right places, mirrors, extra blankets/pillows, iron/ironing board, plenty of charging points and a smart TV. We had room service and the food was perfect and well presented. Hot & plentiful delivered quickly by the team. Bed was super comfy and despite it being one of the hottest nights of the year the fan provided kept us cool and we had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was the best we've had. Great range of hot options. We chose Full English with quality ingredients, eggs royale and a fantastic selection of cereal, toast, yoghurts, fruit, toast, pastries and pastries. We were so impressed with this hotel. Family run and independent. Wished we'd managed to learn everyone's names as everyone was so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Liz at breakfast and the morning receptionist who went above and beyond to answer queries we had about the area. We will definitely return.
Disliked: Having to go home.
