Hotel before Riverside half marathon

Liked: Fantastic hotel and bar. We were very kindly upgraded, the room was fantastic with a really comfy bed.Breakfast on a tray to make yourself was a really nice touch.Bar was also great with local beers and board games.

Disliked: The fact that our door was bent and they didn’t have a spare one so it took us ages to get in every time, didn’t offer us a another room just left us to it , as our daughter have moved to Lancaster and we live in Norwich we will be visiting Lancaster several times a year but never will we stay in your hotel again

Nice rooms above a lovely...

Liked: This is a bustling pub that has a decent set up for rooms above. The reception staff were very communicative, informative, and well prepared. The room was nice with all the usual expectations met. Very clean. The pub downstairs had decent beers, coffee etc, but no food. However they are well set up with links to a local pizzeria who deliver or happy for you to order in and eat at the pub. The location is fantastic with a 2 min walk to a huge range of places to eat and city tourism.
Disliked: The room was next to a main road, so given the heat of summer open windows essential as no air con. I travel for work regularly and use earplugs and sleep fine, but be aware, in summer you need ear plugs..Quite expensive for a basic set up.
