A very enjoyable, relaxin stay...

Liked: Very easy to find and close to the train station for DLR & C2C. Our room was clean and comfortable and the building has a calm atmosphere. Also lovely garden. Yurt cafe next door was nice too and the lovely Limehouse Basin Marina area just a short walk from St Katharine's.
Disliked: The only problem was breakfast. both toasters were broken on the Saturday but I do not blame the staff for this as it sounds like they were short circuited by a guest putting a knif into one of the toasters. No hot food offered at breakfast and all buffet continental which we were not really aware of but it was still nice enough.

Basic and wouldn’t stay here...

Liked: Its location and the green space were great. The staff were friendly enough. Everything was clean and the towels were luxury. The bathroom was spacious. The bed was lovely and comfortable.
Disliked: It felt very clinical and I didn’t like the lack of soundproofing. We had gaps around our door and could hear everything in the corridor. I could hear every word the people said next door and even heard one of them being sick. Not nice. The breakfast was all cold apart from very rubbery porridge. No toaster so it was just bread, cereal, meat and cheese or fruit. Coffee was awful too. Our bedroom part was very small. We didn’t have much room to keep our stuff. The toiletries were non existent apart from a soap dispenser which gave you a tiny drip for every push. Not luxury at all. They took a £50 deposit which was supposed to be refunded on checkout but I’ve still not had it back.

A pleasant stay in an...

Liked: Very clean, very good breakfast, friendly staff, the yurt cafe next door is great, nice grounds with lots of greenery.
Disliked: The room was comfortable but small and basically furnished. The bathroom was also small and basic. We would have appreciated more storage space (no drawers in the bedroom, there was a hanging rail but it was small and low, plus just one small shelf in the bathroom).

Good value for money

Liked: I stayed in a twin room with my teenage daughter for 1 night as we were going to see Kylie at the O2. It was placed perfectly near to the Limehouse DLR, which made getting around London really easy. We had a garden view room and it was a very peaceful, lovely setting. The breakfast was very nice, good selection of sweet and savoury offerings. The beds were super comfy and great tea and coffee facilities.
Disliked: We weren't so keen on the bathroom. It was a wetroom but because the toilet was right next to the shower the whole floor got wet affecting the whole area. Also the shower pole was broken so the shower head was stuck at a low level. Room was clean but a little shabby.

An absolute gem! Close to...

Liked: We have stayed at St Katherine quite some times before and every stay is 5 star. The location, the parking (when we have used the car), the reception team, the breakfast team and house keeping. All 5 star and our room has always been very clean and has everything you could think of that you would need on a weekend stay.
