Exceptional

Liked: The staff are all exceptionally helpful and pleasant. The bedrooms are large well appointed and clean. The food in the Pub's restaurant is really good, genuinely home cooked and delicious.
Disliked: Nothing, an exceptional stay.

Perfect country inn.

Liked: Excellcellent property, great room with good views of the picturesque village near the Ridgeway. Perfect stop for someone hiking on the Berkshire Downs. The quality of the meals was exceptional, and the breakfast was a great value.
Disliked: Nothing to improve on, cannot praise this place highly enough

What's not to like

Liked: Good location, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good room, well appointed. Very good breakfast.
Disliked: No complaints or observations to make.

Lovely

Liked: We enjoyed the dinner and the breakfast we had there, and the centre of the village of Ashbury itself is lovely...so many roses were in bloom. Friendly service, comfortable room.
Disliked: Bathroom had seen better days...no issue for me, but some may have an issue
