The hotel is a horrible...

Liked: The location is quiet and with easy access to the city and the highway.
Disliked: The hotel is poorly managed and maintained. The rating needs to be re-evaluated because it is highly misleading. Don’t take my word for it, just go see for yourself.I am disappointed in booking.com for a misleading rating because it was a key factor in my decision in booking this hotel.The hotel did not honor the reservation nor was the staff able to abide by the reservation. I was put in a room with a dysfunctional key-card and needed to go to the front desk, to ask to be let into the assigned room for the better part of the first two out of four days of my reservation. There’s only 1 master key card and 1 staff member, wait time ranges anywhere between 5-20 minutes just to get back into the room. The room itself had clearly not been cleaned in a while, or prepared in anticipation of a guest; there was dust everywhere, the bathtub was sticky and greasy, the towels were stained and one had blood stain on it that was easy to spot, there was hair all over the doors, floor, shower curtains and bed. I had to kill a flying cockroach that flew off my bed as I was getting into bed which I at the time thought was just a bug. I’m concerned of what else might have crawled into my suitcase and baggage from this hotel.When I went to the front desk the following morning, to request a manager and express some of my concerns, the receptionist said, and I quote “is that it?” to my issues and asked me if I want to go somewhere else and find another hotel as if oblivious to the fact that I already paid for this reservation.I checked in late on Saturday after driving 14 hours on a 16 hours journey and have since then made multiple attempts to reach the manager to express my concerns, it’s been five days and still no response. This is how you run a business into the ground.I booked this hotel partly because of its 8.0/10 rating; the rating is a lie, I would not recommend this location to anyone, it’s a horrible experience and I just had to endure it.

Liked: Big shout out to Tanya at the front desk.There were issues with lists of rooms and card keys not working.Tanya stayed pass her shift to assist us.Thank you Tanya!!

Don’t stay here

Liked: Checking in was a smooth process and the staff is friendly.
Disliked: I will not be staying here ever again!The Hotel is very DATED and needs renovation, it smells like mold and you can see black marks of mold on the walls.There’s no convenient parking, the room was dirty and only had one towel and washcloth for two people to use. When I went to the front desk to ask for another set of towels she said housekeeping didn’t leave any towels and the hotel next door didn’t have any either. In the room several lights didn’t work and there’s a smell of wet carpet and rodent traps on the floor.If you leave at night and come back all the side doors are locked and you have to walk all the way around to the front.The breakfast option were terrible. For the amount that this hotel charges is a crime.

Deifnitely not a hotel that...

Liked: I got a free breakfast because I complained (see below); however, it was the usual lousy cereal/toaster that barely worked/rubbery sausages.Comfy mattresses.
Disliked: No key card was available to me for my entire stay; staff had to open my room for me each time. Elevator was balky; door often didn't shut. No bath towels in my room--just two postage stamps. One tissue left in the dispenser. Coffee maker was missing its carafe, and there were no cups.

Our Family Short Road Trip...

Liked: That it was away from our Norm, we don't do holidays. But Enjoy taking trips as a whole on the road.
Disliked: Felt as the room appliances like the blind drawer fell down and that didn't even move it, it was ice or melted water inside the ice container! We didn't even use. But, management operators to that world which was a good gesture very kind and very appreciative.
