overall the stay was good...

Liked: Location was great -- very accessible by subway, a CVS right across the street, and just two blocks from the beach. The pool was nice, slightly heated which was appreciated, and poolside service was good. Bed was comfortable. The $55/night amenity fee means it is two people's full time job to be on the beach and set up umbrellas and chairs for you, which is really nice -- especially when ours started blowing over, one of the workers came over and fixed it for us.
Disliked: The rooms definitely do not have blackout blinds so I was woken up very early each morning, and are on the smaller side -- our room had nowhere to sit apart from the bed. Also no minifridge in the room which I was disappointed by. Cafe in the hotel apparently couldn't make decaf coffee.

Liked: We have come many times, but have noticed that the pool scene is very aggressive. People are fighting for seating; the hotel rents out the pool area for swim lessons and day passes, and the hotel guests are left fighting for seats. The pool staff was rude and dismissive when asked for help. The morning host was especially rude.
