We were constantly impressed by...
Liked: The room was amazing, and you can tell that thought went into creating a comfortable environment in the rooms. Since the hotel is right by the L, they provided ear plugs and a sound machine. Every single staff member-from maintenance to the front desk to the chefs to the waiters--everyone was lovely. They also really enforced COVID-19 protocols which made us feel safe!

Liked: Rooms were clean and modern. Rooftop lounge area has a great view and was a nice place to hangout. Within walking distance of several bars, restaurants, and public transportation.
Disliked: Overall experience was not good. I understand that due to COVID-19 (Boo) hotels are having to cut back on staff and amenities but, there should still be some sort of ?experience? to be had by the guests still coming to stay with you. The only staff I ever saw in the hotel, never made eye contact or said hello. No valet but was still asked to to pay for unsecured parking across the street and had to have hotel staff notified every time I wanted to enter or exit the lot. No belI service which I completely understand but as I struggled to bring in luggage and dogs, I noticed the Front Desk Agent just watching. They never offered the use of a luggage cart (which I hadn?t seen) or to at least just hold the door open. Server at the lounge was lackluster and looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there. It felt like the employees that were working were doing the bare minimum in terms of customer service. It was disheartening because I was expecting more from your hotel. Out of all the options I had I chose your property to stay at. I tried to go in with no expectations because I get it, things have and will continue to change but I felt like I just rented a room at some cheap motel. It made me feel very much under appreciated as a guest. I was charged for a missing tray from the mini-fridge. I spoke with someone from the hotel and told them that I took the tray out and set it on top of the fridge. I asked if someone could go check because it might not have been noticed unless you were actually looking for it. I was told it was confirmed with housekeeping. I told them that can?t be correct because I didn?t take, nor would I ever take, a used cafeteria tray from any hotel. I have submitted a dispute with my bank for this charge. I?m not sure what happened to your tray but I know it was on top of the fridge when I left.I was also charged a ?no show? fee for a separate reservation over dates that I wasn?t even in Chicago.

Liked: The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I appreciated the staff being so mindful of cleanliness and CDC guidelines. The pool area did get a little crowded but they started to limit the number of people once it because full.
Disliked: the breakfast in the diner could have been better for the price.

Disliked: Bed was uncomfortable and the room was very small. The lighting was also poor.
