The Ro Hotel is a new hotel in the heart of Bowness-on Windermere. More than just a hotel we are an all-day destination for tourists and locals a place that you can go with friends for a coffee or lunch with the family after a trip to Beatrix Potter World. A place that is unexpected in its design but familiar in its northern service. Somewhere connected to the town people a hub or local culture and a showcase for its arts from yesterday today and tomorrow. The Lake District is our place. We love it here. The way strangers say hello to each other on their morning walks. The incredible landscape that takes your breath away no matter if you are seeing it for the first time or the millionth. As a dog friendly hotel we would like to make you aware that there are only 10 pet friendly rooms in our property. Mixture of Standard Double Rooms and Deluxe King Rooms only. All of the pet friendly rooms are allocated on a ground floor. Limited availability. Please contact hotel directly to check the availability.

Good

Liked: Very quit and perfect location for travelling in Lake District. Rooms are new and clean.
Disliked: The Breakfast is ok but there are no any choice. The parking is not free. Need to pay £7,5 per day. There are a lot of slots for parking and it could be free. Tha SPA - there are no any saunas or steam room. Just pool and chill room. And it is not free too. It costs £20 for 2 hours. It's not worth it.

Okay not the best

Liked: Property dated. Despite booking through booking.com we were advised when we got there we couldn’t use the pool as we had booked through here False advertisement
Disliked: Blinds didn’t work in the room

It is a lovely hotel....

Liked: The surroundings were lovely. The breakfast was “absolutely delicious”, really lovely and tasty and it was hot. Lots of choice. The chef was around all the time checking the food was hot and topping it up, very good to see.
Disliked: The car parking fee! We have been staying in the Lakes for years in many, many places & never ever been charged to park our car in their car park. Even the smallest places Absolutely awful!

Great value for money

Liked: The location is good although the hotel is situated on a hill with a steep walk from the town, the room was exactly as expected complete with a safe and a fridge. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of food and very efficient staff keeping everything running smoothly.
Disliked: The walk from the town to the hotel.
