Friendly hotel close the centre...

Liked: Very friendly but professional staff throughout the hotel - everyone we met working there was so nice. Great location with a view across the river to the cathedral and within easy walking distance to the centre (or the hotel provide drop-off and pick-up to the centre). Rooms were quiet and the bed was comfortable. A good place to stay.

We had a nice stay....

Liked: Lovely bar and terrace Setting was beautiful overlooking the river, fields and view of Salisbury Cathedral spireNice bedroom and bathroom Nice breakfast and breakfast room.
Disliked: A major downside was the lack of a restaurant - after sight seeing most of the day - we had to go to the pub hotel around the corner or into town for an evening meal. We would much rather have eaten at our own hotel. To be fair we did know that there was no restaurant, but would have preferred that there was one. It is a very nice hotel otherwise.

A friendly place to stay

Liked: The rooms were very spacious and clean with splendid views towards the cathedral. It was only a short walk into town which was also a bonus.
Disliked: The breakfast was mayhem. We were asked to provide a time because we were told it does get busy but when we arrived at the allotted time, there was a shortage of tables and then we found there was also a shortage of food. We had to remind the waitress that we had ordered coffees, and we appreciate it was busy, but they do need to tackle that issue. Lack of food from the kitchen for starters.

Liked: Room was great. Breakfast was good. View was ok. Partial of roof and of the cathedral
Disliked: Should have warned about only steps to second floor and that we had steps in our room. Neither were good for my wife with several back surgeries.
