I really liked it.

Liked: Location is excellent, walking distance from Metro Station on a very quiet street. Local and organic supermarkets nearby, plenty of places to eat and drink.Rooms are comfy and ample, amenities are really Good. Great WiFi coverage. Staff is exceptional and really nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: AC system is a bit old, therefore not friendly to the user, and it is turned on on a select basis according to the weather conditions and the management gives you promptly advise, which is environmentally friendly and ok but if for any case you need to cool a bit, it is not possible.Room with great view to the main street but quite noisy as long as I opened the windows in the morning.Windows lack of maintenance, they cannot be slide easily. Venetian blinds are not so easy to use.In overall the place has good maintenance, just minor details, which won't affect my decision to stay here again.

Liked: Location was fine after I found it but it was difficult to locate.If I'm ever back in DC, I will definately make reservations here again. Jack and other staff were most accommodating.
Disliked: Maybe a lighted and mirrored cabinet and chair in the bathroom. There was plenty of room for one it seemed.

Disliked: Had to pay $55 a night for valet/parking if didn’t have spot on street.

Exceptional customer service - lovely...

Liked: Perfect location from which to explore DC either by foot or metro which was a few mins walk away. Exceptional customer service. Good size room - comfortable and spotless, with sofa, seating for in-room dining, large desk to work at, TV, alarm clock, nice size bathroom, good shower with large rainshower head, well-stocked kitchenette (large fridge with ice, hob, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, cooking equipment and utensils, plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs and glasses, salt and pepper and additional items on request). Excellent Whole Foods Market 5 mins walk away, so could stock up if we didn't want to eat out. Decent small fitness centre. Nice restaurant - Matera, had a good, buzzy atmosphere and tasty food. Would definitely stay at the River Inn again and would highly recommend it.
