Excellent Place to stay, just...

Liked: Beautiful hotel with great service. everyone was very friendly and helpful. the only downside is the high price. The remodel has really taken the pmace a level up. The rooms are a bit small but that's just how this place was built originally. The service everwhere was very attentive, far better than the typical Ritz resort factory experience. This is likely because the hotel used to be independent and the same folks are in charge regardless of the rebranding.
Disliked: adult pool was unheated. main pool is a bit small.

The Ritz at Turtle Bay

Liked: I've been there several times and it is consistently very well done. Great gym with views of the ocean and surf riders!
Disliked: It recently became a Ritz Carlton and, with that, the hotel became more expensive.

Liked: Definitely the place for us to stay in Oahu. We looked at Waikiki and am so glad we chose to stay here. Two very different places but for us if you are going to the island we wanted to enjoy the natural beauty. The hotel has a great vibe and has lots to choose from. A number of different activities, great gym, lovely walks around the surrounding area, some nice shops and a number of different of eating options. Definitely book ahead if you are going at a busy time as the beach restaurant as an example gets booked out quickly. Bookings are on “Open table.” Rooms were lovely and really well designed.
Disliked: We stayed during the handover from the PE group to the Ritz. Definitely would say this wasn’t a smooth handover as a resident of the hotel. Will be interesting to see what changes!

What an amazing resort. It...

Amazing!

Liked: Great atmosphere and luxurious feeling. Views on the bay and ocean are epic, as is the pool area. All the details are right. Best breakfast buffet ever
Disliked: You have to pay extra for everything. or activities like a 750$ picnic on the beach, for real?! Some staff (in the breakfast restaurant) a bit pushy: checking in every 2-5 minutes how its going, clearing plates to quickly, etc.

A nightmare! Our entire vacation...

Liked: The beach area. The restaurants.
Disliked: On the third night of our stay, my girlfriend was bitten by BED BUGS while sleeping in our room! She had a large bites, and developed a rash on her stomach. We went to an urgent care facility where the doctor diagnosed the bites and rash having been caused by BED BUGS! We have photos of the BED BUGS and the blood stains on the sheets and bed cover they excrete. The hotel washed our clothes, and comped us one night. This experience destroyed our entire vacation, and my girlfriend still has the bites and rash over 10 days later, and has emotional distress over this. The hotel has refused to offer us any compensation! This is totally unacceptable and we would advise anyone thinking about staying here to rethink it! We will never stay at this hotel or any Ritz Carlton. We found an article that said a Ritz Carlton in Honolulu also had experienced BED BUGS! Also, from the night of the bites until we departed, not one single manager/staff ever asked how my girlfriend was doing, except for Monica, a server at the poolside bar. We give this hotel a minus 10 rating! BED BUGS at a Ritz Carlton where I am paying $1,000 a night!
