Luxury Meets Live Music in Downtown Boston

Modern luxury in the heart of downtown Boston, The Ritz-Carlton Boston blends timeless elegance with prime city access. Located directly across from Boston Common and just steps from the Freedom Trail, this upscale hotel offers sweeping city or park views, marble bathrooms, and two on-site dining options. With Logan International Airport just 5 miles away, getting in and out is a breeze.

This polished retreat features spacious rooms with flat-screen TVs, CD players, and minibars, plus access to the exclusive Spa at the Equinox Sports Club. Whether you're in town for a bucket-list concert or a weekend music festival, The Ritz-Carlton Boston offers a serene, stylish base to recharge.

Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and The Ritz-Carlton Boston delivers—you're just a short walk or ride away from many of the city’s top performance venues. Thanks to its downtown setting, late-night transport is easily accessible, whether you're hopping on the T or calling a rideshare. After the show, return to a quiet, upscale atmosphere that feels a world away from the crowds. With a 4 PM check-in and generous 12 PM checkout, there's no rush in or out—even after a late night.

  • Solo travelers catching an iconic act in style
  • Couples planning a romantic music-filled weekend
  • Fans needing a peaceful recovery space post-encore
  • Budget-conscious music fans ready to splurge for an unforgettable stay

Food and Drink Options

  • The Avery Bar offers craft cocktails and classic martinis in a stylish, mid-century setting
  • Many walkable dining options just outside the hotel
  • Room service available, though not 24/7
  • Enjoy breakfast after a late night—just don’t sleep through it!

Nightlife Options

  • The Avery Bar is an ideal place to wind down with a cocktail after the encore
  • Plenty of bars and lounges nearby if you're not ready to call it a night

What People Say

  • “Impeccable service and beautiful rooms with city views”
  • “Perfect location for exploring the city and catching a show”
  • “The spa and fitness center access is a huge bonus after a long night out”
  • “Quiet and comfortable—exactly what I needed after the concert”

Areas for Improvement

  • Room service isn't available 24/7, which may be a bummer after a late show
  • Luxury comes at a price—this isn’t the most budget-friendly option
  • Pool access is limited to guests 16 and older, so not ideal for younger families

Room was nothing impressive. Staff was average. No one went over and above to make you comfortable. Feel bad because it was a gift to us and the person paid alot of money!

Liked: Lounge was very nice.
Disliked: Expected more from such an upscale hotel.

It should be better for...

Liked: Location is really good, some of staff were friendly
Disliked: WiFi is paid in 5 star hotel; the view from my “city view” room was on someone’s roof garden; bellman didn’t help me with my luggage ( during check in and check out); i followed instructions on my valet card to take my car, after 25 minutes of wait, i went to concierge who said me that this instructions isn’t working and i need to call him to pick up my car; i had difficulties during check in( booking took a payment but hotel had another information); mini bar was empty; room service food has bad taste; this hotel is 100% doesn’t cost this money

It was ok.

Liked: It was a very nice room.
Disliked: Some of the staff weren’t friendly. And I was asked when confirming the reservation if there was a special occasion. I told them my birthday was the day I checked in. There wasn’t any kind of gift or concession.
