The Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge

Great, then not so great.

Liked: Location and property were very nice. Right on the lake and a nice pool, even though we could not indulge with either because of the weather....it was a little chilly! Brrr. We were okay with that since we left 100-degree weather in Texas. Loved the evening.
Disliked: Unfortunately, we had no water at all after 11:30 am through check out. Apparently, a water main break. Notice was slid under the door. No water was initially provided as guest. Would have been nice after the water break to at least brush teeth. Also, could not use the toilet and had to pack and leave sooner than we wanted. No water, no livable hotel room. Maybe offer of breakfast or some compensation?

For the price, we expected...

Disliked: Check in time was 4 but room wasn't ready until 5. The patio had not been cleaned as evident by food left there. The fitted sheets were not installed properly. There were no towel racks in bathroom.

Liked: We loved that the floors were engineered wood and not carpet. The beds were very comfortable. There is outdoor seating at the restaurants with views of the lake. Great place to take kids with the lake, boat rentals and blow ups for them to climb on in the water.
Disliked: It was late and no one answered the phone so we had to book online and pay extra fees. I saw on the website they allowed pets, but no price is given until you book and pay online. The fee was $150 sent in an email. The first morning there was water for tea that was lukewarm and my husband stated that the coffee was weak. The second morning there was no water for tea. Just minor things, I would go back and enjoyed our stay.
