The Ridge Hotel

The people at the hotel were pleasant and accommodating. Just wish the top bunk was more secure and had a barrier or rail.

Liked: Clean and we could come and go as we wanted.
Disliked: Wish the top bunk had a railing. It does not!

Thank you so much for your hospitality! From my first contact and through our entire stay the staff extended every courtesy and professionalism - qualities I value the most.

The worst experience I ever...

Liked: The terrace is really nice
Disliked: We got the room on the ground floor. It is really terrible, ensure you will not get it. Ground floor, extremely loud, no bars on the windows and yelling right under our window. This has been a terrible stay. We reported we feel unsafe immediately, but the person at the reception could not do anything. We came next day, we were informed nothing can't be done. So I said, that in that case I am gonna contact booking, because I can't stay here for the second night. Suddenly the room was available, and I heard I am extremely rude and "New Yorkers" do not like that. The worst experience I ever had with any hotel.

Liked: the location was amazing and in a busy area with lots of transport links, cafes/bars. Nice having free water and fresh towels in the basement.
Disliked: The bed was really uncomfortable, felt like a futon. The room was on the bottom floor with no frosted windows so we had to keep the curtains closed at all times. If would do the job if you just had a short stay as the location was really handy but not for more than 2 nights. or even just not being on the bottom floor would help a lot.

Good value for simple overnight...

Liked: Easy access location in the East Village. Subway close by, walkable to NYU. Building and room access by code, good email directions and phone support 24 hrs before check-in.
