Beautiful, relaxing and comfortable accommodations!
Liked: Lovely place! We stayed in a lodge room with an incredibly comfortable king bed. Nice hot shower in nicely appointed bathroom. Beautiful morning view of the lake. Staff super nice and helpful. Since it’s truly a retreat there is no TV in the room, which was surprising but fine - a nice break from noise! Husband watched TNF on his phone to get his football fix. Hope to stay again!
Disliked: Snacks to purchase for late arrivals!

Comfortable and very affordable
Liked: Beautiful property hidden away
Disliked: No real amenities but clean and very comfortable.Primarily for groups but glad we were able to find it on your site. Most everything decent was sold out as it’s leaf peeping season. We were there for Smith College parents weekend and this was about 30 minutes away.

Very poor
Liked: nice owners, but not OK to be woken up and missing standard amenities like toilet paper. Multiple phone calls were asking when we would arrive. I can see if this was a bed and breakfast, but it was not listed that way. We were working very long hours and felt pressured to notify the owners when we would arrive. I appreciated that they were getting their kids to bed, but this is why we did not book and B&B. We are working and really needed and paid for a good bed and quiet, we did not get that.
Disliked: It is a lovely place, but being woken up and having to bang on the owners doors at 3:20 am after being awake all night due to other guests blaring music and howling and chanting until we finally did was awful. We were only there to get a good nights sleep and for only 10 hours and chose this place because of the good reviews. The problem is that it is a place that does not cater to an individual guest but rather to large groups. The fact that the owners could not hear what could only be described as BLARING noise was troublesome. We could hear the other rooms talking LOUDLY when they came in after 11pm. There is also no cell service and no phones in the rooms which I find really dangerous. If the owners are so isolated from guests then they need to make an alternative phone very available. The wifi password had to be asked for, as being a religious retreat they discourage use of computers or phones. If you are just staying as a guest, that doesn't work. After we had to go knock on their door for that, we noticed that we had no hand soap or toilet paper in the room. We went to the downstairs bathroom and pulled a lot off at midnight to use but not a good experience to have to go get dressed in order to get toilet paper. Nice owners need to either not rent to regular guests or change their operations. Also beds were uncomfortable and there is an attack hatch over the larger bedroom. The king bed had large dents in it. If there were any other options to sleep, we would have left if it were within 75 miles.
