Not great, would not safe...
Liked: My husband omellete was lovely. The room was ok. The Shower was lovely. The person that was working there and served breakfast was very good.
Disliked: My breakfast was not great, the avocado was over ripe and was not pleasant. The room was ok, but the bed was not comfortable and squeak everytime we moved on the bed, which was not pleasant and the fact that there was painting work happening all around the hotel painting the outside of the hotel, so we could not see out of our room and people could access the scaffolding at all times, so we did not feel safe.

Bad
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Had a tiny box room with a window that was locked open. As there was scaffolding up to the window the room wasn't secure when leaving it.Expensive for a tiny room. Wouldn't stay there again.

Excellent in every respect.
Liked: Location, accommodation, reception on arrival, bedroom, breakfast and service throughout were all of a very high quality.
Disliked: The building is presently clad in scaffolding but is nearing the end of repainting; when removed, this will reveal the period building in all its glory.

Lots of stairs, not disabled...
Liked: The location
Disliked: Small room on top floor, lots of stairs so not suitable if you are disabled.Breakfast stated as 7.30 but we were then told it was 8am which was too late. Room was hot and stuffy with only a small window. We probably wouldn't stay again but it did us for 1 night. Location is excellent.

Very good
Liked: Clean and tidy. Central to folkstone. The guy serving breakfast was very polite and attentive.
Disliked: We got a room on top floor which equates to 6 flights of stairs and there was no lift. Breakfast did not start until 8 am which we booked (was advertised for 7.30 am). We had to choose what we wanted for breakfast as soon as we walked through the permanently locked front door. Also be aware you have to pay for a parking permit to park outside of the hotel.
