Would definitely visit again.

Liked: Ground floor accommodation with access to grass, for our elderly dog. Friendly pub environment. No extra charge for our dog. Great selection of local ales. One of the reasons for staying here was CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide Pub.
Disliked: Nothing

Disliked: No breakfast but there is great cafe a couple of minutes walk away which was excellent

Liked: Beautiful room, staff were lovely, village is quaint.
Disliked: Room faced beer garden so was a little noisy up to closing time.

Great location, poor service and...

Liked: The room was clean and the bed was great. Nice and close to the pub. Food was excellent on Saturday night.
Disliked: On arrival, and during Saturday night service, the staff were very blunt and not friendly at all. Even when heading to the restaurant, staff seemed to make everything difficult. We booked a table for 6 but then struggled to get seated because we hadn’t given a name with the booking although we had been in the pub most of the afternoon. Certainly didn’t feel welcome.

Lovely hotel/great staff

Liked: Lovely old hotel in a perfect position on the High st. Very nice comfortable clean room with a huge bathroom. Generous supply of tea/coffee etc.. Excellent and helpful staff. Great restaurant- well above “standard pub grub”. Would definitely stay there again if the need arose.
Disliked: Didn’t do breakfast but there are several places nearby that do,
