Badminton weekend stopover.

Liked: The staff in the bar were approachable and very friendly. we were made to feel very welcome.
Disliked: Our room was grubby to say the least. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly, and the carpet had obviously not been hoovered from the last people. The bed was clean with crisp white sheets though, and the towels were white and fluffy.There was a horrid neon green light in the room on the ceiling ,that stayed on all night long. I really hated that, I like complete black in my bedroom. I kept waking up. yeuk.I don't think we'll be back here. Shame, because the village is amazing with all the Harry potter information and the Abbey nearby.

Lovely, dog friendly stay.

Liked: Lovely dog friendly stay. Comfortable with a good breakfast provided. Lots of outdoor space, and wonderful enjoying a walk around Lacock in the evening when the day trippers have left.
Disliked: A bit of a precarious staircase from our room to directly outside to let our dog out late evening and early morning. Appreciated the access, but stairs not easy for an older dog.

Would love to stay here...

Liked: Loved the character, the food was good and the staff were outstanding.
Disliked: The room was a little bit shabby with paper peeling. One of the small windows kept banging, we wedged it shut with tissue and then had a great night's sleep.

Great hotel, fantastic location

Liked: Nostalgic pub/hotel in an a beautiful village. Superb location. We had a very good meal here and a good sleep on a comfortable bed in a spacious room
Disliked: The rooms are a bit tired and shabby but I rather liked it as I thought it a bit shabby/chic

Disliked: Unfortunately the smell of food up in the room was unbearable for us. Even though we kept the window open the whole time. Such a pity
