Liked: customer service good at registery and guys at valet
Disliked: The bathtub in the room was very slippery and felt dangerous - we think a no slip mat would have helped. We could not take a shower.

At $145/per night, breakfast and parking should be included.
Liked: Beautiful hotel. Excellent, pretty location. Extra plus for the Starbucks in the lobby area!
Disliked: No complimentary breakfast which is normally served as part of your stay at other hotels. Valet to park at the hotel was $15 per night extra. Never heard of that.

Wonderful place to stay in...
Liked: Great location. Historic hotel. Food and drinks were great at the bar. Room was large.
Disliked: Food was pricey (but delicious). This is the type of hotel where you have to tip and parking is valet only. I didn’t mind that, but if you aren’t prepared for that it might be a turn off. Probably my error but no one made up the room for the three nights I stayed—perhaps I needed to specifically request that? They did have a text contact to the front desk but I ultimately decided not to ask for housekeeping.

Beautiful hotel. The absolute worst...
Liked: Rooms are very clean and comfortable and the location is great.
Disliked: I am originally from Chattanooga and never had the opportunity to stay at this Iconic hotel. I was invited to officiate a wedding and that is where I chose to stay as I have always admired it's history and grandeur. Maybe I built it up too much in my mind? I was expecting the staff to have that same old Southern Charm but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Several encounters at the front desk. One was inquiring about a designated work space and computer, but the staff seemed annoyed that I would ask. They directed me to the downtown Library in a very sketchy part of downtown. No one made eye contact and always seemed annoyed to be asked any questions. No enthusiasm or anything CLOSE to customer service. For this to billed as the "Grande Dame" of Chattanooga, they have A LOT of improving to do. I would be furious if this were my staff and my hotel. Too bad, I'll never go back or recommend to my friends.
