Good value for money if...

Liked: Food was excellent, as was the service in the pub. We liked the location as it was easy to get to and had the added advantage of having a lovely walk near by. Good customer service when arrived, offered taxi numbers ect.
Disliked: No shower gel in the refil tub with the shower. Shower flooded the bathroom and the bath plug was broken so it was difficult to drain any water after a bath. no refil of teas and coffee but they did give them to me when asked in the pub. Walls and floor not really clean.

Good value travel hotel

Liked: Convenient location for anyone coming by car or taxi. Rooms are well sized and decently equipped for this price level. Beds are comfortable, and it's nice to have the option for a bath. Area is quiet (although we stayed midweek) so ideal to get a decent night's sleep.Restaurant/bar/reception across the carpark is comfortable and the food (both dinner and breakfast) is delicious. The breakfast included in the price is a continental one, so if you want a cooked breakfast it's better to pay for it on the day.Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Extremely unclean

Liked: The porter stayed in till 2am to check us in to the room late despite check in usually closing at 10:30
Disliked: Cleanliness - the bathroom floor had obviously not been cleaned. I truly believe there was fecal matter all over the wet room style bathroom floor. I sprayed some water to try and wash it and it washed away so clearly hadnt been cleaned. The shower in the wet room also didnt drain so using the toilet in the night meant walking through murky water. Really quite gross. There was also a brown stain in the main area. I would expect the price to be far lower based on cleanliness. Aside from this, it was an alright stay, but obviously it was overly distracting. If it werent 2am when we had arrived after a 6 hour drive, I think wed have moved on and tried elsewhere.
