Lovely for a short stopover...

Disliked: Toilet cleanliness, hot water too hot, storage in bedroom

Liked: The rooms were lovely. The breakfast was mixed. Mine was cooked lovely and my husband had poached eggs which were hard. The evening meal was quite poor. We had scallops to start, which were quite expensive and we got two, which I thought for £18 was awful. The mains we both had venison which was overcooked and very tough. Overall I wouldn't return.

Liked: Breakfast was good but because it had been a very windy and rainy night the dining area we had breakfast in was very cold not helped by the fact we were eating in a sun room made up mainly of glass. Obviously an addition to the old part of the Inn but had a restful night in the Inn NOT impacted by the fact that the previous occupants of our room had; somehow, managed to pull the TV off its hinge on the wall!
Disliked: Due to this unfortunate happening the Manager did a very smart customer service ploy by giving us a complimentary bottle of wine and a dessert with our meal - even though we had told him that we understood that accidents happen!

Overall a very pleasant experience...

Liked: Very well trained pleasant staff- nothing was too much trouble and all done with a smile . Breakfast was cooked freshly to order and plentiful.Dinner was equally good, I ate there 2 nights running and very good.
Disliked: Everything was as I expected.
