The Spotlight on The Querque Hotel

Relaxed Comfort Just Minutes from Albuquerque’s Best Music Spots

Modern Southwestern charm meets easy convenience at The Querque Hotel. Located just off I-40 in the heart of Albuquerque, this laid-back hotel is only a short drive from downtown music venues, cultural attractions, and the University of New Mexico. With cozy rooms, free WiFi, and three on-site restaurants, it’s a solid home base for a music-filled getaway.

Guests love the comfortable seating areas in each room, the indoor pool and hot tub for unwinding, and the easy access to both nightlife and nature while staying just a bit away from the bustle.

Why Concert-goers love it

You'll be just minutes from major venues and only a 10-minute drive from Albuquerque International Sunport—ideal for out-of-town fans. After a late show, head back to a quiet room or grab a bite at one of the hotel’s eateries. The 12:00 PM checkout gives you time to sleep in, and free parking makes driving in for a concert a no-hassle experience.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for fun, shared adventures
  • Solo travelers chasing that once-in-a-lifetime gig
  • Couples planning a weekend escape with music and margaritas
  • Fans who want peace and quiet after a loud night out
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who appreciate value with comfort

Food and Drink Options

With three on-site restaurants, there’s no need to wander far after a concert. Stonestreet Restaurant serves up Southwestern favorites, while Ranchers Club of New Mexico dishes out seafood and steaks. La Cantina delivers American classics and a relaxed vibe. While 24/7 room service isn't available, the range of evening dining options and nearby eateries keep cravings satisfied. Breakfast is also available for those slower mornings after a late night.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t host live music, you’re a quick ride away from Albuquerque’s vibrant downtown bars and lounges. Stay close to the action but sleep peacefully away from the noise. Want to keep things low-key? Grab a drink at the on-site bar and unwind with local flavors in a chill setting.

What People Say

Reviews highlight the hotel’s great location, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. Concert-goers appreciate the easy parking, clean pool and hot tub, and quiet atmosphere after a show. Many guests love the on-site dining options and comment on the convenience of being close to both music venues and cultural sites.

Areas for Improvement

The decor might feel a little dated for some, and while the restaurants offer good food, they can get busy on weekends—so plan ahead if you're grabbing dinner before a show. Also, if you're relying solely on public transport, options may be limited late at night.

The Bottom Line

For music fans looking for a laid-back stay with solid amenities and easy access to Albuquerque’s concert scene, The Querque Hotel hits all the right notes.

Good

Liked: Overall it was decent for the price. Staff was all friendly and it’s easily accessible by the interstate and close to tons of things.
Disliked: Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Both of the pools were absolutely freezing even though they are advertised as heated.

Disappointing

Liked: Yeah, we booked a king bed and a balcony room and we’re given a room with two double beds. When we went back to reception to ask for a king bed room, they of course switch our room, but the new room was on the first floor and had no balcony, and also no windows, but sliding glass doors that were nailed shut and against fire code regulations creating a safety hazard. The breakfast was horrible. When we went to the drinks dispenser to get orange juice, it was literally sugar and water. The people at the front desk were not helpful. And the couch had rips and stains on it. I don’t understand how this place has good ratings.
Disliked: Everything
