This 17th-century Elizabethan inn has a peaceful location in the Troutbeck Valley with weaving footpaths that link the nearby ancient hamlets. Great for a peaceful, short...

Liked: Peaceful and attractive location. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast and pub restaurant meals.
Disliked: Room was on the small side without a view, but with other hotel guests looking into the window as they came and went.
