Liked: It was like stopping with family… we were made so welcome. Food, bedrooms amazing, everyone is catered for including the dogs with a sausage for breakfast. We loved atmosphere the location and will definitely be back.

Pleasant

Liked: Beautiful location and beautifully designed public areas inside including the bedrooms
Disliked: The majority of staff were warn, pleasant and friendly, however one waitress in particular let the team down with her brusque and unwelcoming manner - both on arrival and later on late afternoon. We moved from the patio area outside to finish off our early evening drinks and sat in the main bar area by the window for 5 minutes, the bar was completely empty. She told us (not asked) that we had to move to another area as the tables opposite the bar were for food only. It wasn’t laid and the bar was empty. The table had a reservation sign for 7:30 which was more than an hour away. We understood that the management have decided that some tables in the front bar are for food but her manner was impolite and she could’ve asked that we vacate the table if it was needed before the 7:30 reservation.The pub has been beautifully restored and a lovely place to visit. However her attitude doesn’t do the place any favours. We found the bed very firm along with the pillows and unfortunately didn’t sleep well as a consequence.
