Lovely first time away with...

Liked: The staff were very friendly at check in and took the time to show us to our room, and explaining times for meals and where things were.

Very good

Liked: The beds, the breakfast, the shower, the location.
Disliked: No view, only 1 small chair and stool to sit on, no hooks in bathroom or place to hang towels.

Not bad

Liked: Very convenient for all the amenities and central to the town
Disliked: It’s desperate in need of moderation and a lick of paint

Disliked: Big staircase too much for my dog.

Convenient situation but room was...

Liked: Someone on hand to greet and show me my room. Facilities in room were good. When I was finally able to get hold of the manager she was able to locate something I'd left behind - was getting no luck beforehand.
Disliked: Room was freezing.And couldn't work out how to turn off the strip lighting round the bed headboard. Tried all the switches I could find. As a result, didn't sleep at all well.

A hotel in a lovely...

Liked: When you book and pay for a 4 Star hotel, you expect 4 Star service. Unfortunately this was not my experience here. I stayed here for 3 nights, not once was my room cleaned during my stay, my bin was full too. Staying in a 4 Star hotel I expect better especially as this hotel has been commended for its cleanliness. No member of staff informed me my room wouldn’t be cleaned or explained anything I needed to do to make sure it was cleaned. The breakfast was very good, only spoilt by the infernal racket coming from the radio in the breakfast room. What makes the staff think guests aged 50+ dining want to listen to Radio 1 blaring at 9 o’clock in the morning?
