Liked: We've visited Rothbury many time over the last 30 years and have stayed at the Queen's Head Hotel and had many enjoyable family meals there. It's an old building and although it was refurbished a few years ago you have to accept that it's not a new building so there's some creaks and knocked corners.

Perfect dog friendly hotel in...

Liked: It was very dog friendly. I was a bit stressed as we were travelling for the first time with our new puppy but we were made very welcome. We also arrived late on our first night and they kindly waited for us even after reception was closed. The room itself was spacious, comfortable and full of character and charm. We had a very nice young lady Yulia, serving us at breakfast and she also provided excellent service and made us feel very welcome. We had a lovely stay!
