With open views of the surrounding Dorset countryside The Priory Hotel is nestled within 4 acres of English cottage gardens beside the River Frome. Free WiFi is provided along with an on-site restaurant. Each guest room comes with an private bathroom a flat-screen TV with DVD player and tea/coffee making facilities. A full English breakfast lunch and dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel which also features a wine cellar housing 200 vintages. Lunch is served in the Garden Room but can also be enjoyed 'alfresco' on the terrace in the warmer months. The picturesque Lulworth Cove and Studland Beach can both be reached in a 20-minute drive. The hotel lies within the ancient market town and port of Wareham which features Saxon town walls dating back to the 9th Century. Corfe Castle ruins and the village of Corfe are a 5-minute drive away.

Liked: We have been visiting The Priory for over 30 years now, it never fails to exceed both our needs and expectations in every department.

Beautiful building with incredible food...

Liked: We stayed for evening meal which was the best food ever tasted. Breakfast was equally as good and a great amount of quality items. Beautiful dining room.
Disliked: The bed was tiny and we didn't sleep well. Really hot in bedroom so window was wide open but loud noise due to people walking past

Very relaxing.

Liked: Food was excellent.Staff also excellent.Exceptional setting with beautifully kept gardens.
Disliked: A choice of menu in the evening. We didn't require 3 courses every evening. It would have been helpful to have the choice of just one course.Pillows were rather soggy.

A delightful hotel in a...

Liked: The Priory is an exceptional hotel. The service is excellent and the whole hotel is scrupulously clean and tidy. The grounds are lovely and the gardens interesting. Its position backing onto the River Frome adds to its charm. It is a great location for exploring and borders the Arne Nature Reserve. Bournemouth and Poole are in the vicinity and so are many of the lovely Dorset towns and villages.Breakfast was excellent. There is full menu available for the evening.
Disliked: There weren’t obvious faults.

Don't miss the garden walk...

Liked: Beautiful garden! The hotel itself is such a gem with its vintage architecture and interior designs. The garden is well tended and such a nice walk out after breakfast along the canal.
Disliked: Staffs are not as friendly and smiley.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful...

Liked: Beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens backing on to the river. Cosy bar and light and airy restaurant. Breakfast was very well cooked with a good selection of dishes Friendly and helpful staff team
Disliked: Our bed was quite small and we only had a shower

PERFECT!

Liked: A luxury hotel - exactly as described! STUNNING gardens , with the river at the bottom! Every detail on par! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Disliked: Would have prefered a bigger bed.

Lovely location for a quiet...

Liked: Service was excellent in all aspects, staff were so courteous and helpful. Breakfast was very good.Room was comfortable and bedding good quality.Location is brilliant for easy access to the town, but still remains quiet.
Disliked: Only thing I would have liked to see better was the grouting in the shower needs a little attention in places and the wallpaper beside the bedside light was worn away by people using the pull cord repeatedly. This was in room 5.It is not a cheap room rate here so these should be resolved.
