Disappointed

Liked: My husband loves the golf course.
Disliked: Everything was closed. None of the historical places were open, all the restraints were closed and the golf course was the only activity open was the golf course. The nice rooms on the main property were all closed so we were given a room in the lodge which is down the road. The rooms were clean but very old and small/cramped. You could not have 2 people get ready at the same time there was not enough room. The staff was nice.

Not worth the money.

Liked: Bed was spacious and comfortable.
Disliked: The depiction of rooms on the internet did not match the actual room. The decor and fixtures were well-worn and of cheap construction. Insufficient lighting, poorly laid out interior, wasted space -- this place needs a top-to-bottom renovation.

I would not stay here...

Disliked: Very old building. Room lock was extremely sticky and you needed 2 hands to unlock and and lock the door.The “coffee in the lobby” was actually on the lower level with no signs for such and was not worth it. Rooms were dated and bathroom was showing lots of weathering.

Liked: There was a play area for kids downstairs which is a nice amenity. It was also very quiet.
Disliked: They didn't give little bottles of shampoo, which I actually like. The problem was that the dispenser said "shampoo and conditioner" but it held two clear sudsy products, no conditioner. Not fun to find out after soaping my hair and my daughter's. Breakfast was not included, which we have come to expect at this price. We ran out to Dunkin but it would have been much nicer to just head downstairs like most hotels. Though heading downstairs to breakfast would not have worked at all as there were actually no staff available in this whole building! The desk is in another hotel a short drive away, so you drive somewhere else to check in. That seemed weird in such a large hotel. It was funky and historic but didn't feel like it's been 3 stars in many years.

Poor quality room and poor...

Liked: The location was alright…
Disliked: The room was not what we reserved, and was half the size plus it didn’t have all the amenities we were told it would like a second bed, and a bath. When we mentioned it to the receptionist she told he you get what you buy and dismissed us.

Liked: The history involved there.
Disliked: No In door pool or hot tub.
