Good location for us, very...

Liked: We were attending the Scottish Breeds Championship Dog Show with our two Rough Collie dogs. The hotel is very dog friendly and has a good area for exercise nearby. The dogs were well behaved and all in all a very enjoyable stay
Disliked: No problems all good

An experience that we do...

Liked: Lovely garden.
Disliked: Old and run down. The room was supposed to be the executive king room, The Clyde Suite. The room had no curtains in suite area, so no privacy. The suite carpet was soaking wet, , likely from the bathroom. We could not use the shower as the tiles on the floor were cracked and broken with sharp edges. The couch was burst in several places. The service at dinner was not good. The waiter took the order three times. Waiter was unsure if the chef could cook the dishes we asked for from the menu. When the food did arrive it had to be sent back as it tasted and smelled off. Went for breakfast, which was quiet, but again service was not good. No tables cleaned, again waiting to be served, just left, not wanting to experience the same as the previous night.

Lovely overnight stop, good food...

Liked: We just needed a ‘stopover’ on our way back from Skye. The hotel was really nice. Clearly there are some renovations going on but it didn’t affect us. The bar & restaurant were lovely & the food was excellent. The staff were lovely, especially when our friends’ car broke down & the receptionist sorted a mechanic to come out.
Disliked: We were in room 31 which was very nice but my husband banged his head on the sloping roof in the middle of the night. He nearly knocked himself out in the dark.

Liked: Went there for a wedding and the facilities were good
Disliked: We were seated for breakfast by the wedding coordinator as they were severely short on staff. The staff member that took our order then proceeded to tell us there was only one choice on the breakfast menu so much so that there wasn't a menu to look at. We later found it this was a lie and there is a fairly extensive breakfast menu. No bread for the toaster despite asking, no orange juice, was asked how I wanted my eggs but was served fried eggs anyway, presumably the waitress knew what we want better than we did. No beans available either. Went across the road to the garden centre to have a fabulous breakfast with friendly and attentive staff who were not being massively overworked by their venue, alot could be learned
